A strong message to Government
Many thanks to all of you who have campaigned on this issue since the summer of last year. I'm pleased to say that the Minister, Jonathan Shaw, clearly heard people's concerns and whilst the Inspector hasn't been replaced the re-opened inquiry is looking at the issues we were campaigning on.
In Sussex West Sussex County Council is looking increasingly isolated in its opposition to the park so please keep the pressure up on them. More and more councils are becoming supportive in the face of people power. Labour should be very proud of its record on National Parks and we really have made a difference in helping to create as large as possible a South Downs National Park.
